Itinerary

Day1: Fes -Ouazzane - Chefchaouen

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in Fes, we will pick you up from your accommodation at 08:00 am before heading north to the charming blue-city of Chefchaouen driving through the spectacular Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, you may want to embark on exploring what is beautiful and unique town has to offer.

Start your tour by the the strategic & vibrant Utta el-Hammam Square, which is located in the heart of the Medina with its lined cafes and restaurants. Visit the dramatic Kasbah that goes back to the 15th century when the warrior Ali Ibn Rashid decided to construct this fortress to fight against the Spanish and Portuguese invasions. 

Meander around the beautifully-painted in blue streets, doors and windows. Pass by the local bakery and meet cute children playing in the streets. Get to the panoramic Ras el-Ma spring where you can enjoy breathtaking views along with learning about the local culture with women washing clothes and carpets by the spring. In the evening, you may want to have another walk to the Square where you can have a drink or dinner.

Day2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

Today, we recommend waking up early in case you are an avid photographer as the Medina gets less busier, so taking memorable shots is perfect in the morning. At 10 am, we will drive back to Fes passing by the Ruins of Volubilis where you can learn about the Roman civilisation in the north of Africa.

Continue on the track to Meknes, which is one of the four Imperial Cities of Morocco dating back to the 17th century when the Sultan Moulay Ali Cherif decided to turn it into an eternal capital of Morocco. Meknes is aften called the “Versailles” capital of Morocco. Start our tour by the impressive Mansour gate with its geometric designs, then drive through the high walls of the Royal Palace before arriving in the Royal stables and garanaries where the Sultan used to look after his 12.000 horses.

In the late afternoon, we will drive to Fes through the highway marking the end of our private 2-days Fes to Chefchaouen tour.
