After having breakfast in your Riad, we will spend most of the day exploring what the desert area of Merzouga has to offer. Learn about the unique system of irrigation known as “Khettaras”, which is a sophisticated system of conveying water from far distances to irrigate the oasis by digging wells and interconnecting them with an underground channel.

Visit the Khamlia after driving through Merzouga Village. The Khamlia Village is resided by black Africans who were brought as slaves from the Sub-Saharan Lands. They are known for the Gnawa Music, which is a spiritual music they tend to perform to visitors as a way for making a living.

We will then have a complete circuit around the majestic dunes while including many short breaks for taking pictures. Visit a local nomad family to learn about their unique way of life before ending our day tour of the desert in our Riad.

In the late afternoon, you will have a camel ride experience watching the miraculous view of the sunrise before arriving at our luxury desert camp where you will have a delicious meal for dinner followed by a nice sleep in your private ensuite tent.
